Review and approve December 2024 Call Minutes: These were approved.

NCI Updates: No updates.

SC Updates: No updates.

Dr. Markowitz CVC, “Biomarker Based Interception of Esophageal Adenocarcinoma.” Dr. Markowitz took questions from the Committee.

2025-2026 Spring and Fall EDRN Meetings

• 14th EDRN Scientific Workshop: May 20-22, 2025, Gaithersburg. This event will have a virtual option for NCI staff if they are not able to attend in person.  The DMCC will get a budget for a hybrid option and for in-person only.  The deadline for submitting poster abstracts will be extended to Friday, April 18th and communicated.
• Fall Steering Committee: September 17-19 Seattle
• 2026 Spring Meeting Dates: Potential dates will be sent to the Committee soon.

Updates (5-10 min each) 

• Reference Set Committee: Robert Bresalier said the group meets monthly to review all newly submitted reference set applications.  The group has reviewed about 10 reference set applications. The process has worked well, but he would like to see more attendance at these meetings.
• Statistical Group Update : Yingye Zheng said that the Working Group didn’t have meetings in the past couple of months due to travel, but these will resume next month.  If there are certain topics the group should focus on, let Yingye Zheng know at yzheng@fredhutch.org
• Early-stage Investigators: Matt Young said that this month’s call was canceled due to the pause in communications.  In the future, an NCI/NIH representative that works with ESIs will present to this group.
