- Optimal evaluation and diagnosis of screen-detected lung nodules, and best practices for tissue management in the diagnosis, classification, and genomic analysis of lung cancer
- Dr. Johnson is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, with subspecialty certification in Cytopathology. She served an American Cancer Society fellowship in Surgical Pathology in 1991-2. She maintains a focused interest in pulmonary and thoracic pathology, and is a career-long member of the hospital staff at both Vanderbilt University Hospital and the Nashville VA Medical Center. Her research interests include optimal evaluation and diagnosis of screen-detected lung nodules, and best practices for tissue management in the diagnosis, classification, and genomic analysis of lung cancer.
