Identification of subjects at increased risk for developing breast cancer

My major interest is developing computer programs and molecular markers for predicting risk of developing breast cancer. I have developed several computer programs for assessing the major established methods for predicting breast cancer (based on age, prior history of breast disease, family history, and pathology). In addition, women with different degrees of risk as assessed by these computerized models) undergo bilateral fine needle aspirates of periareolar breast tissue. these specimens are subject to cytological risk assessment (Massod score) and to a variety of immunologic and molecular markers. The natural course of breast disease in these women iis observed, and correlated with the other parameters.
