- From somagen.com: The Immunoassay screening method is the new standard of care worldwide. Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT, also traditionally called fecal occult blood test) replaces the traditional Guaiac card testing. FIT does not require dietary or medicinal restrictions. There is only one sample collection, which patients are able to perform easily and with little disruption to their daily routine. Ease of use results in increased patient compliance.
