Outcome
The CBSI measurement of CYFRA 21-1 is not observed to have discriminatory ability between lung cancer cases and high-risk controls in the dataset sampled from the EDRN Lung Reference Set A. Pre-specied analyses: -sensitivity at 80% specicity: 0:27 (95% CI 0:18; 0:37) - specicity at 80% sensitivity: 0:25 (95% CI 0:16; 0:4). Both observed values are only somewhat greater than 20% (the expected value assuming no discrimination) and 95% condence intervals do not exclude the null. The corresponding positive and negative diagnostic likelihood ratios and the overall AUC similarly do not suggest much discrimination.
