Outcome
The fitted probabilities from the model achieved an AUC of 0.52 with higher probabilities indicating a higher risk for HCC. Using the threshold of 0.9469234 (positive prediction if fitted probabilities were greater than 0.9469234), we obtained a point sensitivity and specificity of 0.32 and 0.62 respectively. The fitted probabilities did not perform better than the AFP reference biomarker. For AFP: AUC = 0.81, Sensitivity at 90% specificity = 0.58. For fitted probabilities: AUC = 0.52, Sensitivity at 90% specificity = 0.22.
