- TCIA Handling – indicates TCIA Approach to de-identification
- ✅ Tag retained without modification.
- ✏️ Modified to remove or anonymize Protected Health Information (PHI).
- ⏳ Dates are offset to maintain temporal relationships while ensuring de-identification.
- 🔍 Free text fields and private tags are manually reviewed and cleaned to eliminate any embedded PHI before retention.
- ❌ Direct identifiers (e.g., birthdate, institution names, provider names, and many private tags) are systematically redacted to comply with de-identification standards.
